We enjoy the cultural notes in addition to the phrases, and the pace is just perfect for us. My 11-yr-old stepson Matt and I are doing a lesson every night, and thus hope to finish the whole series before we go. We've been practicing together, and even after a few lessons were able to understand the Arabic in "Body of Lies" which we watched last night! (Granted not a very high level, but it's a start...)
